2026-2027 Open Positions


Board of Director Positions

ADHA is seeking candidate for the following elected Board of Director positions. Terms align with ADHA’s fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).

  • VICE PRESIDENT — A 3-year leadership commitment (Year 1 as Vice President, Year 2 as President-Elect, and Year 3 as President)
  • TREASURER — 2-year term
  • DIRECTORS-AT-LARGE — 9 Directors with staggered 3-year terms

Governance Committee Elected Member Positions

The ADHA Governance Committee oversees the nomination, vetting, and interviewing process for ADHA Board of Directors candidates and must demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and objectivity. This position is elected by ADHA voting members.

For 2026-27, ADHA is seeking two (2) non-Board members for staggered two-year terms.

ADHA’s President-Elect reviews each application and recommends a slate of candidates to the Board of Directors for confirmation. These appointments reflect the skills, experience, and perspectives needed to support ADHA’s work, and each role carries a one-year service commitment. We are seeking members for the following committees:

Individuals interested in serving on an ADHA committee should complete a self-evaluation considering the following:

  • How much time can you commit to serving as a leader with the ADHA?
  • Does your family support your decision to give your time to serve ADHA and its members?
  • Does your employer support you, and will they allow the necessary time needed to serve ADHA?
  • Based on the skill set listed below, what are your strongest skills?
  • Where do you have opportunities for improvement?

When considering your readiness for an ADHA Committee, it is helpful to know that successful applicants will need to demonstrate many of the following skills:

  • Working knowledge of the ADHA mission, goals, and Strategic Plan
  • Capacity to embrace and manage change

  • Understanding of general principles of not-for-profit fiscal management and governance
