We all watched in horror as large sections of the island of Maui and the Lahaina community were engulfed in uncontrollable flames. The pain and loss are overwhelming for residents, families and their loved ones. The most immediate needs are food and shelter and the best way to help is through financial support. In the weeks, months and years to come, after the world’s attention shifts and the media has long sailed from Maui’s shores, the people of Lahaina will still be sifting through, recovering and rebuilding their lives.
The list of organizations below, recommended by our ADHA family at Hawaii Dental Hygienists’ Association, are local to the devastation and recovery and will be there to help and support in all the needed ways for as long as is needed, giving hope to Maui.
Mahalo.
