The American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) has named Michelle Noblet-Vacha, RDH, BS, of Colorado Springs, Colo., as the recipient of the Crest Clinical Dental Hygienist Award. She was honored during the Saturday Plenary Session and ADHA Award Presentations at ADHA’s 86th Annual Session in Washington, D.C., on June 20.

This award recognizes clinical dental hygienists who made a difference in the lives of their patients/clients through one of a number of means including management, education or care services for patients/clients; the use of technology; or other innovative methods.

Noblet-Vacha graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene. She created and is executive director of Licensed Dental Hygiene Care, which is a nonprofit organization that provides dental hygiene services to all senior citizens residing in long-term care facilities. She has also been involved with ADHA since 1989 and was a delegate in 2008.
