Lewis & Clark Community College Celebrates First Anniversary as NCOHF Affiliate
In 2009, the dental hygiene program at Illinois’ Lewis & Clark Community College (LCCC) received a grant from the ADHA Institute/NCOHF Toothfairy Grant Fund to join the National Children’s Oral Health Foundation (NCOHF) Affiliate network of nonprofit oral health care facilities providing life-changing care to at-risk children and their families across the country.

Since then, the LCCC dental hygiene program has become one of the strongest members of the NCOHF Affiliate network!  Michelle Singley, RDH, EdM, professor and coordinator of the LCCC dental hygiene program, says, “It has been an incredible year for the children in our region, thanks to [NCOHF].  The product donations that we have received from your sponsors have allowed us to reach out [to a community of needy kids] and teach, seal, brush, floss, rinse, varnish and so much more! It has been our privilege to be out in our community college district representing your mission while we are teaching our dental hygiene students about giving back.”

To learn how you can help more dental hygiene programs benefit from funding, donated product and technical support as a member of the NCOHF Affiliate network visit www.AmericasToothfairy.org or www.adha.org/ioh!
