Community Service Day

ADHA and the Institute for Oral Health, with DentalEz co-sponsorship, would like to invite all attendees of ADHA 2012 to volunteer to participate in the 2012 Community Service Day Project. Register soon as this opportunity is limited to 50 volunteer attendees.

Date: Wednesday, June 13, 2012
Time: 7:30am – 12:00pm
Program Overview:
Volunteer attendees will go to a local venue (South Mountain Senior Center) and provide oral health/oral cancer screening, toothbrush prophylaxis, fluoride varnish and oral health education for Senior Citizens at a congregate meal site.
Program Flow:
7:30am: Meet group in Hyatt Lobby to board shuttle bus
7:50am: Shuttle bus arrives at location
8:00am-8:30am: Orientation and setup
9:00am-11:30am: Service senior population
11:45am: Board bus to return to hotel
12:00pm: Arrive to hotel
Program Outline:
Volunteers are needed to fulfill the roles outline below. Be sure to indicate your area of interest on the registration form:
Chair Side Station – Two volunteers per chair will be needed to provide the oral screening and fluoride varnish
Education Station – volunteers are needed to distribute goody bags to patients and provide additional educational information relevant to the seniors needs.
Check in Station – volunteers are needed to check in the seniors and direct to the next open chair.
Directional – volunteers are needed to direct the seniors from their chairs to the Patient Education area.
